The AMS is not only for asset managers, but for all professionals in the affordable housing industry looking to master the skills needed to ensure the double-bottom line of affordable housing – the financial sustainability of properties and portfolios, and the well-being of residents and their communities.

The three courses include:

The class covers, how to distinguish between property management and asset management, and identify where they overlap, property performance indicators, financial analysis techniques such as how to conduct reserve planning and capital needs assessments, the basics of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit deals, including partnership agreements, examine the triple bottom line and priorities that inform it and more! Course date: February 26-28 2025 | 9:00am- 5:00pm

3. Financial Fundamentals of Asset Management (AM291) is the final course in the Asset Management Specialist (AMS) certificate series. Hear what folks who’ve taken our programs have to say:

“The CHAM curriculum takes you from just seeing the individual assets to seeing the portfolio as a whole and its overall impact on the organization. I now look at our portfolio in a more strategic manner, looking for opportunities, identifying weaknesses, and building up strengths.” – Katherine Fleming

“The knowledge and insight provided by these training sessions has really helped me step up into my new role as the Program Manager for Housing Development. Truly, credit goes to CHAM for their partnerships and training because without those my career wouldn’t have been possible. Again thank you!” - Brittany Winnier-Ociepka, Program Manager Housing Development, Penquis
